The South African National Energy Development Institute (SANEDI) is hosting a Science Kits Hand-over to rural schools in uMkhanyakude Education District. This event is scheduled for 18th October 2019 near Hluhluwe in KwaZulu-Natal and will run in parallel with a Career Exhibition facilitated in collaboration with the Education District and South African Agency for Science and Technology Advancement (SAASTA).

The 21st Southern African Association of Science and Technology Centres (SAASTEC) Conference will be held at Inkcubeko Youth and Science Centre in George from the 11th to the 14th of November 2019.The conference is open to science and technology centres, museums, regional and national government officials, private sector, academics and students from Higher Education Institutions, principals, teachers, interested stakeholders and members of the community. The conference theme is ‘Inclusiveness in Science and Technology Centres’ with subthemes: Celebrating International Year of Periodic Table and IUPAC 100th anniversary; Advancing Technology through science centres (Next digital revolution-4IR); and Breaking barriers to positive actions against climate change.
