Profile

My name is Yola Inga Kekezwa. I was born on 27 June 1990 at Cecilia Makhiwane in Mdantsane. My early education was started at Siyanda Primary School in Nu16 Mdantsane. I later went to study at George Randell Primary School and George Randell High School.

I have a National Diploma in Journalism which I obtained at Walter Sisulu University in 2014. I have worked at Township Times to do my internship and later moved to Kumkani Fm, which is where I am based now as the Head of News Department, News reader and Presenter.

Science is one of the subjects that I am passionate about because I always want to know why something is the way it is, and why scientists andengineers spend so much time researching and developing hypotheses.  I find myself asking  questions like: “what happens when we burn tyres on roads; what happens to the smoke?” and  “how healthy is the water that we drink?”

This is what ignited my passion for science. I want to be knowledgeable about what happens around me so that I am able to educate  our listeners and other people?
