Innocetia Nemukula

Innocetia Nemukula is a goal-driven young lady from Malamulele in Limpopo. She graduated with an environmental sciences bachelor’s degree and an honour’s degree from the University of Venda in. She is currently working as a science journalist intern at Malamulele community radio (Mala FM) in her hometown.

She is passionate about science and technology, and she feels it is a great honour to be sharing science stories in Xitsonga with the Malamulele community, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. There are a lot of rumours, misconceptions and misinformation centered around Covid-19, so she is hoping that this opportunity will help in addressing such issues. She hopes that this programme will not only benefit her community but enhance her knowledge and skills. She has never worked in the media space before, but she finds science journalism interesting and is willing to learn more about it. She believes that this opportunity will further open doors for her.
