Refilwe Mpho Sekwati is a 25-year-old young lady from Kimberley, Northern Cape. She went to Flamingo Primary school and matriculated from William Pescod High School in 2010.She graduated with a BA degree in Corporate and Marketing Communication from the University of the Free State in 2015. She previously worked as a communications intern at the Department of Rural Development and Land Reform under the Regional Land Claims Commission directorate. She joined SAASTA’s science and technology journalism programme as an intern in January 2018 and is hosted by Ntlhakgolo Newspaper in Kimberley. She is creative, smart, ambitious and passionate about the communications field. She looks forward to gaining experience as a journalist and intends to write informative and thought provoking articles about science and technology in the Frances Baard Municipality.
