2022 Survey Results
The Department of Science, Technology and Innovation (DSTI) is the custodian of Science Engagement and in this regard a first-ever national survey, the South African Public Relationship with Science (SAPRS) was conducted in 2022. The survey was conducted by the Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC) and the results have been captured in a report. This report was launched by the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation during Science Forum South Africa (SFSA) in Pretoria.
The conference was held on 26 and 27 March 2025 at the Birchwood Hotel in Johannesburg and served as a platform to present the main findings of the survey to various sectors of South African society, including academia, civil society, government departments, faith-based organisations, NGOs, youth and labour formations etc.Â
