Mpho Matemane was born in Hartebeesfontein, which is now known as Lethabong, in Rustenburg. She then moved to Bapong in Brits where she attended school, from primary until she matriculated. She completed her Diploma in Journalism at Rosebank College, Pretoria.
Mpho did her in-service training at SABC in Hatfield, Pretoria. She also did some training at The Pretoria News as an intern journalist. She is thankful for the opportunity that these platforms have given her, as she learned a lot from them.
She is currently an intern at The South African Agency for Science and Technology Advancement (SAASTA), and is placed at Letlhabile Community Radio in the Bojanala District, North West as a Science Journalist and a news reader.
Mpho believes that there’s time for everything, and that one must never give up in life. “Rome was not built in a day”.
