National Science Week 2024

National Science Week (NSW) is an annual celebration organized by the Department of Science and Innovation (DSI), focusing on Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Innovation (STEMI). This nationwide initiative brings together various stakeholders to conduct STEMI activities throughout the designated week.

As part of the broader Science Engagement Strategy, NSW aims to cultivate a scientifically literate society capable of forming independent opinions about science. Led by the South African Agency for Science and Technology Advancement (SAASTA), a division of the National Research Foundation (NRF), NSW serves as a platform for showcasing the importance of science in our daily lives.
