Profile

Sarah Mapula Mogashoa was born in the village of Ga-Kama. She started school in 1999 and completed her grade 7 in 2005 at Makeketela Primary School. She then completed her matric in 2011 at Ramashobohle Secondary School.

She registered with the University of Limpopo (Turfloop Campus) where she completed and obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Communications degree. She hopes to further her studies in the near future.

She is currently working as a Science and Technology intern at the South Africa Agency for Science Technology Advancement (SAASTA) placed at Nthavela community newspaper in Polokwane, Limpopo.

She is focused on a project called Points of Use Water Treatment Technology (POU). This project hopes to provide a technology solution suitable for rural communities that do not have access to clean safe water in Capricorn district. She describes her experience as an intern to date as phenomenal.

Sarah is a hardworking, determined and multi-skilled person, who is results oriented. She is grateful to God for being one of the individuals who was awarded a SAASTA internship. Additionally, she believes this is an opportunity to learn more in the corporate world and enhance her knowledge, personal growth and skills.
