- Sasol SciFest
Sasol SciFest is held annually in Grahamstown and offers a spectrum of no less than
600 events and activities, including popular lectures, workshops, demonstrations,
interactive exhibitions, excursions, science olympics, game drives, a laser show,
primary and senior school quizzes, the PlayFair, a street parade, sunset shows, and
even a FilmFest! All in just seven days!

- Sasol Techno X
Maths and Science form the very foundation of education among learners and the aim of Sasol Techno X is to engender commitment and enthusiasm among learners, educators and others in science and technology. Sasol Techno X, is a festival of displays, workshops, tours, talks and hands-on activities.
SciTech is an annual science and technology festival offering the youth illustrated talks, workshops, short courses, competitions, demonstrations, chemistry, physics and laser shows, displays, exhibitions, sport science events, field trips and factory visits.
- South African Mathematics Olympiad
The South African Mathematics Olympiad (SAMO) is the official national mathematics competition of the country. It is a three round competition with interesting questions and prizes. The three rounds take place in April, June and September of each year.
- World Space Week - South Africa
World Space Week is held annually from 4-10 October and was initiated in 2000 to mark the anniversary of two milestones of humanity's expansion into space: the date of the launch of the first satellite and the date the first international Outer Space Treaty came into force).
- Global Science and Technology Week (GSTW)
Global Science and Technology Week (GSTW) celebrates the expanding opportunity for the world's best scientific minds to transcend national boundaries and collaborate on new discoveries and shared global problems.
- International Mathematical Olympiad
The International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) is the World Championship Mathematics Competition for High School students and is held annually in a different country. The first IMO was held in 1959 in Romania, with 7 countries participating. It has gradually expanded to over 80 countries from all 5 continents.
- Pan African Mathematics Olympiad
PAMO is an annual event organised by the African Mathematical Union (AMU) to encourage youthful talent in Mathematics and to exchange information on curricula and teaching methods in mathematics across the African continent.
