The STEMI Olympiads and Competitions Community of Practice Conference is an annual conference which is dedicated to the advancement of the Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Innovation (STEMI) Olympiads and Competitions in South Africa by creating a community of practice where best practices are identified and benchmarked. This is achieved by bringing Olympiad and Competition organisers and other industry stakeholders together to present academic and non-academic research and talks to facilitate a platform for engagement between parties.
The Working World Exhibition is the most comprehensive and cutting edge Careers Exhibition – designed to empower and position learners for the world of work. WWE attracts 10 000+ learners, 400 LO teachers and principals and over 80 exhibitors from educational institutions, government and corporates over three days and will be celebrating 20 years of empowering the youth in the Metropole in 2019.
Scifest Africa is the largest science festival in Africa, and the 2018 National Science Festival offered an interactive festival programme consisting of 64 exhibitions and 701 events. The 2019 theme will celebrate the International Year of the Periodic Table of Chemical Elements as proclaimed by the United Nations
The Soweto Career Day and Expo has proven to be successful over the years now seeing the 12th Annual Soweto Career Day & Expo 2019. This exciting expo covers a broad spectrum of careers available in different industries and Sectors in South Africa. This Expo proves to be an eye opening experience to grades 10 to 12 learners and the unemployed youth from and around Soweto.
The Soweto Career expo will be incorporating The Gauteng Employability and skills indaba in Soweto. This Indaba will provide a platform for all stakeholders in the delivery of Youth Employability, skills and training in Gauteng. The Indaba will also provide an excellent networking opportunity for private and public sector delegates to exchange valuable developmental concepts to assist our youth and graduates to gain access to employment and development opportunities in South Africa.
