Posters are a good way to tell a story - you can use some great images and a few words: ideally suited to saying something in "little chunks". During South Africa's First Year of Science in 1998, I produced a series of ten posters for a project called Friends with the Universe. I think it was with the fifth or sixth poster, that I had a feeling that something was wrong with it. Colleagues, our librarian and others repeatedly went through it and found no errors. I took it to the printers, where it was put up on the printer's screen before the final key stroke would send it to print. I suddenly saw the error. Up the side of each poster was the title of the project, Friends with the Universe, in very large print, but the "r" in Friends had been left out: Fiends with the Universe is not quite the same! And none of us had seen it.
