Science Awareness Platform
SA Science Lens travelling display

SA Science Lens is South Africa's only photographic competition specifically aimed at illustrating and communicating the excitement and impact of science. The competition has attracted hundreds of entries over the years.

This static, panel-type exhibition features large-format versions of SA Science Lens winning images and highly commended entries. It is a colourful, high-impact display.

The exhibition is often diplayed by SAASTA at public science events and in science centres. The image below shows participants at the inaugural African Science Communication Conference held in Port Elizabeth in 2006. Behind them is the SA Science Lens exhibition.

The exhibition also travels around the country and is on display at sponsored workshops, organised by SAASTA, where young photographers receive photographic training.
